AzergeofizikaRI. Geophysics Research Institute of Azerbaijan ("AzNIIGe-ofizika ) was established in 1965. The basic objects of the institute were: elaboration of new Geophysic devices, techno-logies and tools, their enchancement and performance of field trials aimed to integrate them for searching, exploration and development of hydrocarbon fields.
As a result of new methods elaborated in AzNII Geofizi-ka a tens of new promising structures were revealed, a series
 of new hydrocarbon fields were discovered followed by accu-rate delineation of their contours within Azerbaijan (Jafarly, the Western Muradkhanly, the South Kursange), Uzbekistan (Dengizgul, Sardab, Matanat) and Georgia (Rustavi, Didy-Li-lo, Telety, Samgory), Turkmenistan, Ukrain, the Western Si-beria.
Principles, technology and software package of integrated interparettion of both seismic data and downhole measure-ments, allows to predict geologial section. Referri software package includes the following procedures:
1. Analysis and interpretation of seismic data
2. Processing analysis and interpretation of downhole me-asurements
3. Preparing of both various sections and maps indicating lithology, facies and reservoir quality
The following features can be determined using this tech-nology and software package.
- stratigraphy
- facies
- distribution of interval, formation and everage velocitites
- distribition of effective porosity and volume clayness
- prediction of reservoirs and their hydrocarbon saturation
Processing ahd interpretation of geophysic data are carri-ed out on IBM PC.
The package was tested both on marine areas and on-sho-re fieldes (Azeri, Chirag, Gunashli, Janub, etc.).
